We are excited to have Brian Zahnd joining us. We host a Leaders Day for Church and Ministry Leaders on the 29th of June, followed by a wider Conference on the 30th of June and 1st of July. Leader's Day (29th June) - Church and Ministry Leaders only 

This day creates a space to get together with a small group of leaders to explore the dignity and mystery of our pastoral/leadership calling. A call to ministry is no small thing, but as faith and spirituality are being trivialised in a somewhat cynical world - our sense of vocation can be eroded and devalued. This day will build a fresh way of looking at the ministry and our callings. It will be an interactive and communal time of input and hospitality.

Briann Zahnd Conference Days (30th June and 1st July) 

In his recent book, ‘When Everything's On Fire: Faith Forged From The Ashes”, Brian Zahnd explores how our culture impacts faith and our sense of meaning. It pressures us to deconstruct as we face the increasingly complex questions of our context. A simplistic black-and-white faith can crumble under the weight of unanswered questions and difficult experiences. This conference (running from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm each day) will explore how we navigate these cultural challenges and how to be people of faith and a faithful presence in a world that erodes hope and meaning.

Brian Zahnd Bio 

Brian Zahnd is the founder and lead pastor of Word of Life Church in St. Joseph, Missouri. Brian is a passionate reader of theology and philosophy, an avid hiker and mountain man, and an authority on all things Bob Dylan. He is the author of many books, including Water to Wine, Sinners in the Hands of a Loving God, and When Everything's on Fire. He and his wife, Peri, have three adult sons and eight grandchildren. This will be Brian’s third trip to New Zealand, having ministered in Tauranga in 2018 and 2020. He has a passion for seeing the church of New Zealand flourish.
